Autumn is quickly approaching which means it’s time to transition not only your wardrobe but your skincare as well. In addition to adding BeeSpa moisturizes to your beauty routine, we have included 7 essential tips to keep your skin ravishing all season long. Here at BeeSpa we understand the fall becomes busy as the kids go back to school, work starts up again, and summer vacations come to an end. We eliminated any excess stress by outlining your new and improved skincare routine as we transition into fall.
1. Try Out Mineral Makeup
Heavy foundations in the colder months are prone to clogging pores and looking caked on. Freshen up this season with a lightweight mineral powder. Mineral make-up tends to contain natural ingredients allowing skin to breathe. Did we mention that it is free of preservatives, synthetics, and artificial oils?
2. Experiment with Oils
Constantly applying heavy creams tend to be too heavy on the skin in the colder months. Facial oils moisturize just as well and sink in faster! Because of the lightweight formula, oils hydrate the skin as well as create a dewy complexion for your skin.
3. Drink (Lots of) Water
Give your skin a healthy glow by drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. The cold weather dries out skin, and drinking water you will keep your skin hydrated and glowing. Water too plain-Jane? Try herbal teas or water “mix-ins” like Mio or Crystal Light.
4. Remember to Exfoliate
When fall rolls around, it is imperative to exfoliate to help remove dead skin cells from you body. Try exfoliating once a week and your skin is guaranteed to be left feeling silky smooth. Leah Chavie, of Leah Chavie Skincare, recommends adding Epson salt to your favorite lotion as a quick DIY exfoliate.
5. Keep Those Lips Kissable
Find yourself in the habit of licking your lips when there is a chill in the air? Some of our favorites include Burt’s Bees or EOS. Prevent dry lips and chapping by always keeping a Lip Balm in your purse. Apply regularly and generously!
6. Don’t Forget About Sunscreen
Just because you won’t be visiting North Avenue beach in the next months, doesn’t mean you can forget about applying sunscreen! Sunscreen is always essential in our book. Prevent wrinkles and sunspots by using a moisturizer with at least SPF 15 as part of your beauty routine.
7. Step it up with a Spa Brush
The newest skincare buzz is all about incorporating a rotating cleansing brush into your skincare routine. This pulsating brush exfoliates and cleanses all in one easy step. So save time and enhance your skin by investing in one of these handy products.
